Coloured gemstones and laboratory-grown diamonds with the exception of rubies, emeralds and sapphires are a great alternative for this price range.

For budgets above R30 000.00 we normally recommend 18k gold for its value and platinum as a naturally white metal. Natural diamonds become a viable option and the price of the stone will vary greatly depending on the size and quality of the diamond.
