Our engagement rings are crafted locally from recycled 9k and 18 Gold as we all recycled Platinum. The choice of metal is generally determined by the budget available, the design of the ring and the lifestyle of the wearer.
Common metals include:
Platinum
Platinum: Naturally white, hardwearing and hypoallergenic. Platinum is currently a more affordable alternative to 18k white gold.

Gold Karat
18k Gold: Durable and well-suited for use in engagement rings that are worn daily. 18k gold is available in white, yellow and rose gold. With a higher fine gold content at 75% we recommend choosing 18k gold for its value when the budget allows.
9k Gold: Durable and well-suited for use in engagement rings that are worn daily. 9k gold is available in white, yellow and rose gold. With a fine gold content at 35% we recommend choosing 9k gold for smaller budgets.
Gold colour
White Gold: Cool and contemporary appearance, best suited for cool or neutral skin tones. White gold requires periodic rhodium plating. Our white gold alloy is nickel-free.
Yellow Gold: Centuries later yellow gold is still seen as a timeless and elegant option. Suited to neutral and warm skin tones, yellow gold requires less maintenance compared to white gold.
Rose Gold: No longer just a trend, romantic rose gold looks beautiful on all skin tones. Our rose gold has been specifically alloyed with the perfect amount of copper ensuring our rose gold is the perfect ‘rosy’ hue. Rose gold requires less maintenance compared to white gold.
